The [:log]-Modul is a special kind of subwoofer: a matrix braced cabinet, more than 140 liters of volume, 500 watt ClassD amplifier, two 11“ Thiel&Partner Accuton ceramic sandwich chassis with +/-13mm stroke. The result is a dry, crisp, ultra-precise and level stable bass down to 36Hz.

The [:log]-Modul offers the possibility to drive one or two satellites (via one or two signal sources, if two sources are available the [:log]-Modul automatically sums up the two bass channels to one mono bass signal). The satellites are always driven full-range, without any additional filters in the signal path. This means that the [:log]-Modul simply adds the bass which the satellite cannot produce.

The [:log]-Modul is equipped with a phase locked 6dB cross-over. The separation frequency to the satellite can be adjusted via calibrated plugin cards. The level of the [:log]-Modul can be damped by up to 12dB. Thus the [:log]-Modul can operate in conjunction with every satellite currently available on the market. Ideally the [:log]-Modul completes the [:mono] to the full 3way [:monolog]-system.

If only playback by the satellites is required the [:log]-Modul can be muted via a GPIO contact panel which can also be wired to a mixing console so that muting the subwoofers is done via the push of a button

The [:log]-Modul also works in home cinema applications as standalone subwoofer. Correct bass playback rounded up with nice looks and perfect finish – finally a subwoofer that does not have to remain hidden in a corner!
